Joanne Schlafer is the founder of Certified Green Consulting (CGC) and is a LEED Accredited Professional. She has over 25 years of experience managing large-scale programs and projects in the government, public and private sectors. In forming CGC, Joanne has combined her expertise in program and project management with her passion for sustainability. Joanne has experience in both commercial and residential building projects. Additionally, she is skilled in business program development and in implementing corporate-wide initiatives.

Joanne holds a degree in Construction Management and is a graduate of the Colorado State University Green Building Certificate Program. She is an active member of the national and local chapters of the US Green Building Council, and the Boulder Green Building Guild. In addition, she served on the Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver (HHMD) Sustainability Task Force, which initiated the first HHMD project to pursue LEED certification.
